Sankranthiki Vastunnam – Silent Hit?

“Sankranthiki Vastunnam” is the upcoming film starring Venkatesh Daggubati, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film is produced by Dil Raju under the SVC Productions banner. Meenakshi Chaudary and Aishwarya Rajesh are playing the female lead roles in the film.

The movie is set to release during Sankranthi, clashing with Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj. Ram Charan, coming solo after RRR, stars in Game Changer, directed by Shankar. Kiara Advani is the female lead, and SJ Suryah plays the antagonist. The film’s reported budget is around ₹450 crore, making it the highest-budget film in the careers of both Ram Charan and producer Dil Raju.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is also coming this Sankranthi with Daaku Maharaaj, directed by K.S. Ravindra (Bobby Kolli). Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela play the female lead roles, while Bobby Deol plays the antagonist. Surya Devara Naga Vamsi is producing the film under the Sithara Entertainments banner.

Despite the clash with these big films, Sankranthiki Vastunnam has been generating a lot of buzz with its active and unique promotions. Among the released songs, two have already become chartbusters, one of which is sung by Venkatesh himself. The song Godari Gattu in particular has been widely loved by the audience. Anil Ravipudi is known for creating content that appeals to family audiences, especially during festival seasons. His previous films, Sarileru Neekevvaru and F2, both released during Sankranthi, were huge blockbusters.

Yesterday, the team held a trailer launch event in Nizamabad, and the trailer was digitally launched by Superstar Mahesh Babu. From the trailer, it is clear that the film revolves around a police mission led by an ex-policeman (Venkatesh), along with his wife (Aishwarya Rajesh) and Ex Girlfriend (Meenakshi Chaudary), blended with Anil Ravipudi’s signature style of comedy. The one-liners in the film are expected to be enjoyed thoroughly by the audience. Venkatesh also has a significant family audience base in the Telugu states. If Anil Ravipudi succeeds in generating positive buzz and attracting the family audience, this film could become another blockbuster for him during the Sankranthi season.

Let’s wait and see whether Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh can score a blockbuster this Sankranthi, despite the big releases of Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj.
