Music Director Thaman about Mahesh babu fans
Music director Thaman composed the music for the movie Guntur Kaaram, starring Mahesh Babu. Trivikram Srinivas directed the film. Sreeleela played the female lead role, while Jayaram and Ramya Krishna appeared in key roles. The movie was released in January 2024.
Mahesh Babu’s fans were unhappy during the shooting of this film. Their dissatisfaction stemmed from Trivikram’s decision to choose Thaman as the music director. Thaman faced a lot of criticism from the fans during this period.
In a recent interview, Thaman spoke about the challenges he faced. He said, “We felt the pressure of handling 10 films just for Guntur Kaaram in 2024. I kept thinking about how to make the music better and uphold the faith Trivikram garu had in me.”
He added, “Fans started a huge Twitter trend with the hashtag #RemoveSSThamanFromGunturKaaram. I faced a lot of hatred, but Trivikram garu stood by me like a rock. During the re-release, seeing fans dance to the songs made me so emotional. We worked hard because Mahesh garu was returning to the screen after a 3-year gap. We knew we had to deliver the best album for the fans. Moments like ‘Mama Enthaina’ and ‘Kurchee Madatapetti’ were very special in the film.”
Thaman said that the pressure during the shoot was immense. However, seeing fans enjoy the songs during the re-release made it all worthwhile.
