What’s happening with Vishwambhara?

Vishwambhara, the highly anticipated socio-fantasy film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and directed by Vasishta, has completed its shooting. However, there is still no official confirmation regarding its release date, leaving fans eagerly awaiting an update.
The film recently saw the release of its first single, Rama Rama, but that too was not accompanied by any clarity about the release timeline. Industry sources suggest that the primary reason behind the delay is the underwhelming response to the teaser that was released last year. The teaser, which heavily relied on visual effects, failed to impress audiences, prompting the team to reconsider their post-production strategy.
Following the lukewarm reception, reports emerged that director Nag Ashwin, known for his expertise in handling high-end VFX, has stepped in to oversee the visual effects for the film. This move raised hopes that Vishwambhara would release sometime in July or August. However, it has since been revealed that the team is taking extra care with the VFX work, making a mid-year release unlikely.
With the meticulous post-production work ongoing, a Dasara release in September was speculated. But with DVV Movies recently announcing that Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film OG will hit theaters on 25th September, a September release for Vishwambhara now seems improbable.
December is already packed with big releases like Raja Saab, which may not be probable. Considering the content of the film based on the released teaser, the makers likely to target family audience mainly. So, they mostly look for a holiday season. Producer Vicky at Cannes told media that they are going to announce the release date with a glimpse, and he’s confident that the glimpse will impress the audience and gives an idea about the film. Let’s see what makers are planning for Vishwambhara.
