Thandel film to have scenes about Jagan?

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is all set to entertain the audience with his upcoming film Thandel, which will be released on February 7th. The film features Sai Pallavi as the female lead, while Chandoo Mondeti, who recently tasted success with Karthikeya 2, directs this project. Thandel is produced by Geetha Arts and is based on real incidents that took place in 2018.

The movie tells the story of a group of fishermen who accidentally crossed the border and were captured by Pakistani forces. The film focuses on the emotional journey of these fishermen who were imprisoned in Pakistan, as well as the struggles of their families back in Andhra Pradesh. Following their capture, the Andhra Pradesh and central governments initiated diplomatic discussions with Pakistan to secure the release of the fishermen.

Given that Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2019, it is likely that the film will feature scenes involving him. The Union Minister for External Affairs at the time played a key role in the efforts to bring the fishermen back from Pakistan’s jails. After the Minister’s passing, her daughter, Bansuri Swaraj, has continued her mission, advocating for the release of citizens trapped in foreign jails.

Bunny Vas, the producer of Thandel, recently met Bansuri Swaraj to thank her for allowing the inclusion of real footage from the events that unfolded during that time. The collaborative effort of both the state and central governments played a crucial role in securing the release of the fishermen. Given the significance of these events, it is highly probable that scenes involving Jagan Mohan Reddy will be part of the film.

The Thandel team is promoting the film as a PAN India project, emphasizing its high budget and compelling story that deserves to be heard by audiences across the country. It remains to be seen whether the film resonates with PAN India viewers when it hits theaters on February 7th.
