Trivikram’s Mythological Dream Project: Allu Arjun or Jr NTR?

Trivikram Srinivas, known for delivering successful commercial films and family entertainers, is now looking to align himself with the evolving PAN-India trend. For his most ambitious project yet, the ace filmmaker has chosen mythology as the genre, an area where his deep understanding of Indian epics and folklore is well known among audiences.

Unlike many contemporary filmmakers who are adapting well-known chapters from the Ramayana or Mahabharata, Trivikram has reportedly chosen Kumara Swamy, the God of War, as the central figure for his mythological venture. This distinctive choice has already generated significant curiosity and anticipation within industry circles.

Initially, Trivikram planned this prestigious project with ICON Star Allu Arjun. The actor was said to be keen on taking up the role, given the subject’s strong PAN-India appeal and his long-standing creative rapport with the director. Trivikram even began preliminary work on the project and assembled a team to develop the screenplay. The plan was for Allu Arjun to complete his film with Atlee and then move on to this mythological film.

However, developments took an unexpected turn when Jr NTR reportedly entered the picture as the new lead for the project. Speculation intensified after Jr NTR was spotted holding the book “Muruga: God of War, Lord of the Wisdom”, seemingly confirming his association with Trivikram’s mythological film.

More recently, fresh reports have surfaced suggesting that the project may have reverted back to Allu Arjun. This sudden twist triggered widespread discussion on social media. While Allu Arjun’s fans welcomed the news enthusiastically, Jr NTR’s fans expressed disappointment, an understandable reaction given the scale and prestige associated with the project.

Responding to queries about these reports, producer Bunny Vas, a close associate of Allu Arjun, told the media that it would be better for the team to officially reveal details at the appropriate time. He also stated that Allu Arjun would announce his upcoming projects after AA22, with clarity expected around January or March 2026.

For now, an official confirmation remains awaited. The announcement may take some time, as Trivikram Srinivas is currently occupied with his ongoing film featuring Venkatesh, tentatively titled Adarsha Kutumbam 47. Until then, the mythological project continues to be one of the most talked-about and closely watched developments in Telugu cinema.
