New Year Posters: Spirit Steals the Show, Peddi Leaves Fans Wanting More

New Year signifies fresh beginnings and celebrations, and for Telugu film fans, the festivities traditionally begin with new posters from their favourite stars’ upcoming films. This year was no different, with multiple teams unveiling special New Year posters. However, it was Sandeep Reddy Vanga who truly kickstarted the celebrations with a powerful first-look poster from Spirit, starring Prabhas, instantly lifting the mood of fans across the board.

Following Spirit, several films released New Year posters, including Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu, The Paradise, The Raja Saab, BMW, NNNM, Ustaad Bhagat Singh and more. Despite the volume of releases, Spirit clearly emerged as the unanimous winner. Released right at midnight, the poster set social media on fire and quickly became a sensation. Expectations were already sky-high for a Sandeep Reddy Vanga–Prabhas collaboration, and the first look only added fuel to the hype.

Responding to fan demand, the makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh released a motion poster. Though it arrived later than expected, it still turned into a celebratory moment for fans.

On the other hand, Ram Charan fans were left disappointed. Many were expecting a New Year poster or the second single from Peddi. However, Ram Charan clarified at the Champion trailer launch event that the team deliberately chose not to release new content, as they did not want to eat into the promotional space of films releasing during Sankranthi. So, fans expected atleast a brand new poster from Peddi, but disappointed.

Overall, the New Year celebrations clearly belonged to Spirit, which thrilled fans and dominated online conversations, while Peddi ended up being the biggest letdown for its fanbase. As the year begins, the contrast in reactions highlights just how impactful a well-timed and well-designed poster can be in today’s highly competitive cinema space.
