Daaku Maharaaj press meet highlights
Daaku Maharaaj, a film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is set to release this Sankranthi. Directed by Bobby and produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner, the film features Pragya Jaiswal, Shradda Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela in key roles. Recently, Naga Vamsi and Director Bobby interacted with the press in Hyderabad to discuss various topics. These included the film’s release, ticket price hikes in Telangana, recent controversies surrounding NTR, and the Dabidi Dabide song.
Ticket Price Hikes for Daaku Maharaaj
Producer Naga Vamsi addressed the issue of ticket price hikes in Telangana. He clarified, “We are not asking the Telangana government to hike ticket prices. The current rates are enough for our film.” This comes after CM Revanth Reddy made a statement in the assembly. He mentioned that, under his leadership, there will be no ticket price hikes or premiere shows in the state.
Meanwhile, TFDC Chairman Dilraju is pushing for ticket price hikes for his film GameChanger in Telangana. It is expected that a clear decision will be made later today.
Jai Lava Kusa Controversy
The film team recently appeared on the Unstoppable talk show to promote Daaku Maharaaj. During the show, host Balakrishna showed pictures of directors Bobby had worked with. He asked Bobby to describe each actor in one word. Pictures of Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, and Balakrishna were shown. However, Jr. NTR’s photo was not included. This upset Jr. NTR’s fans, as Bobby had directed Jai Lava Kusa, where NTR played three roles. Many fans took to social media, accusing the team of intentionally omitting NTR’s photo. Some even announced plans to boycott Daaku Maharaaj.
In response, Naga Vamsi clarified in an interview that the omission was unintentional. He explained that they had actually discussed the possibility of Jr. NTR playing a role in the film. Director Bobby confirmed this in his own statement.
Conclusion
The issue regarding ticket price hikes in Telangana is expected to be resolved soon. The Telangana government is likely to release a Government Order (GO) later today, providing clarity on the situation and whether special shows will be allowed.
