Akhanda2 & SYG stepping away from September release?

The much-awaited sequel Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, was officially announced to release on September 25th. Similarly, Sambarala Yeti Gattu (SYG), featuring Sai Dharam Tej, also created buzz with its glimpse and locked in the same release date.

However, both films now seem to be drifting away from their announced release schedule.

Unlike the team of They Call Him OG, who have already kickstarted aggressive promotions with the release of the first single (which is receiving an excellent response), there have been no major updates or promotional material from the makers of Akhanda 2 or SYG.

According to multiple reports, both films still have portions of the shoot pending, which raises doubts about their ability to meet the September deadline.

While there’s still a chance that Akhanda 2 could make it to the announced date with an intense post-production and promotional push, SYG is reportedly taking more time than expected to complete, increasing the likelihood of a postponement.

It now remains to be seen whether Akhanda 2 will stick to September 25th and clash with OG as fans hope or opt for a solo release with a strategic delay and proper promotional rollout.
