Pawan Kalyan UBS film is a remake?

Mythri Movie Makers are producing this film, with Sreeleela playing the female lead. Many are assuming, and a few are confirming, that it’s a remake of the Tamil movie Theri, starring Vijay.
The film is directed by Harish Shankar, who gave Pawan Kalyan the hit film Gabbar Singh, which is considered a comeback film for the actor. While some are expecting the same kind of magic from him, others are concerned, looking at his recent track record.
Director Dasarath, who is working on the script of the film, opened up about the rumors in an interview. Addressing the claim that the film is a remake of Theri, he said, “First of all, this film is not a remake of any film. It is a commercial film with all the elements Pawan Kalyan fans expect from him.”
Actually, Pawan Kalyan initially wanted to remake Theri, and Sujeeth was his first choice. Sujeeth was approached to direct the remake of Theri. Even though Sujeeth wasn’t enthusiastic about that, he still went to meet Pawan Kalyan to discuss it. Pawan Kalyan was very impressed with Sujeeth’s knowledge and asked if he had any original stories. Sujeeth then narrated a original story to him, and Pawan Kalyan immediately agreed to do the original film instead of the remake which is the film, OG. Sujeeth revealed this in an interview.
So, as director Dasarath clarified, the film Ustaad Bhagat Singh is not a remake. Fans can expect a full-fledged commercial film, blended with entertaining elements and a message, from Harish Shankar and his team. The shooting of the film is yet to resume, considering how busy Pawan Kalyan is with his duties as Deputy Chief Minister. However, he is committed to completing all the films he has signed as soon as possible.”
