Akhanda 2 Delay Creates Opportunity for Andhra King Taluka

Balakrishna in Akhanda 2 and Ram Pothineni in Andhra King Taluka

Akhanda 2, the sequel to the blockbuster Akhanda, was supposed to release today but has been postponed indefinitely, as announced by the production house. Premiere shows were cancelled, and refunds were issued across the Telugu states. Fans were deeply disappointed, but due to a court order, the producer had no option but to delay the film.

Putting the reasons aside, the postponement of Akhanda 2 may actually work in favor of Andhra King Taluka. The Ram Pothineni–starrer released on November 27. Despite receiving appreciation from critics, the film struggled to draw audiences to theatres. Both the producer and hero acknowledged this, stating they expected such a response because November is considered a dead season.

However, without losing hope, the hero and producer announced that they would intensify promotions to pull audiences to theatres in the second week. Initially, that seemed unlikely, with Akhanda 2 scheduled to release on December 5. But now, with the postponement, the AKT team may have a chance to attract viewers for another week. If their promotions work, it could give the film a small boost at the box office.

There were reports that the producers of Akhanda 2 might resolve their financial issues within 24 hours and release the film a day later, on December 6, with premieres on December 5. However, many believe it won’t be that easy, as the amount owed to Eros International is quite substantial.

Akhanda 2 stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, with Samyukta Menon as the female lead. Harshaali Malhotra, who won hearts with her innocent performance in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, also plays a role in the film. Balakrishna appears in dual roles, as an Aghora and as a farmer.
