Earlier, producers and heroes themselves used to fix the release dates. But today, OTT platforms have taken control by offering specific release slots.

Take this example: a highly anticipated film from a Tier-2 hero in TFI drops a single glimpse and immediately grabs the attention of an OTT platform. They offer a good advance, and the producer and team feel relieved after receiving the amount.

But the real challenge begins after that. The shoot doesn’t always move as expected.

If the shoot slows down, the film won’t meet the pre-decided OTT slot. And once the delivery is delayed, the OTT amount gets reduced. When that amount drops, the producer starts panicking about recovering the investment.
