Vasishta Unveils Mystical World of Vishwambhara: 70% VFX, Genie Role & More

Vishwambhara is the upcoming film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, with Trisha as the female lead and Kunal Kapoor playing the antagonist. The socio-fantasy film carries huge expectations, though the teaser’s VFX left audiences disappointed. Following the mixed response, the team worked extensively on improving the VFX and is now reportedly confident in the final output.

In a recent interview, director Vasishta shared some intriguing details about the film. He revealed that Vishwambhara is a world they’ve created as the base world for all 14 worlds, and the story revolves around how and why the protagonist enters this world and what unfolds next. These insights have helped generate fresh buzz among the audience.

Vasishta disclosed that 70% of the film involves VFX, as they are crafting an entire fantastical world. He also revealed that Rao Ramesh plays a significant role in the film—a genie-like character. The role was physically demanding, requiring Rao Ramesh to perform with ropes and cranes, especially during scenes shot in cave-like locations, often remaining in such setups throughout the day. Vasishta believes this will be one of the most memorable roles in Rao Ramesh’s career.

Additionally, he teased some of the mystical elements in the film, including Scorpion Island, an island full of scorpions, a two-tailed squirrel, and several other fantasy creatures, all created through VFX.

Vasishta also expressed confidence in the music composed by MM Keeravani, which he feels will be an asset to the film. The movie features four songs, of which “Raama Raama” has already been released. A special song is yet to be filmed, and from July 25th, the team will commence shooting this along with 2-3 days of patchwork to wrap up production.
