No Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja for BMW

Ravi Teja in Bharta Mahasayulaku Wignyapti

Bharta Mahasayulaku Wignypati, starring Ravi Teja, Dimple Hayati and Ashika Ranganath, is set for a Sankranthi release on January 13. Directed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by SLV Cinemas, the film is positioned as a clean family entertainer, with major portions shot abroad, especially in Spain.

At a recent press meet, director Kishore Tirumala revealed an interesting creative decision by Ravi Teja. Known widely as the “Mass Maharaja,” the actor chose to be presented simply as Ravi Teja for this film, as the narrative focuses on family emotions rather than mass elements. The intention, according to the director, was to stay true to the genre and appeal directly to family audiences.

Ravi Teja enjoys a strong track record with Sankranthi releases, many of which have turned into hits. With Bharta Mahasayulaku Wignypati, he is once again aiming for festive success, this time through a husband–wife–girlfriend concept designed to connect with family viewers.

Producer Sudhakar made another noteworthy revelation, stating that Ravi Teja did not take any remuneration for the film. He also confirmed that BMW became the first Sankranthi release to close its OTT deal. Explaining the early agreement, Sudhakar said the team narrated the story to OTT partners three times, and their confidence in the script led to the deal being finalized during the early stages of shooting.
