Can Parashakti Be the Turning Point for Sreeleela?

Sreeleela has been going through a rough patch in her career, with her recent films failing to make a mark at the box office. The latest release, Mass Jathara, also couldn’t impress audiences. While it’s unfair to blame a film’s failure on just the heroine, there’s growing talk among viewers that Sreeleela’s roles have started to feel repetitive.

However, that perception might soon change with her upcoming Tamil film, Parashakti. Directed by Sudha Kongara, known for powerful female characters in films like Guru and Aakasam Nee Haddura, this project could prove to be a game-changer for Sreeleela.

Parashakti, starring Siva Karthikeyan and Sreeleela, is a period drama set against the backdrop of the anti-Hindu agitation movements in Tamil Nadu during 1965. With GV Prakash scoring the music and Dawn Pictures bankrolling the film, expectations are running high.

The makers are planning to release Parashakti for Sankranthi, and if all goes well, this could mark the much-awaited turning point in Sreeleela’s career.
