Akhanda 2 Release Pushed, What’s the New Plan?

The film Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, has been creating buzz ever since its announcement. At the film’s pooja ceremony, the makers had locked September 25 as the release date, raising expectations among fans.

However, speculation within film circles suggested long ago that the film might not arrive on the announced date, especially since it would clash with Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG. Despite this, the team continued to maintain that the film would stick to its schedule.

Now, it’s official, the makers have announced that Akhanda 2 will not release on September 25. In their statement, they cited the film’s massive expectations and the need for meticulous detailing and quality work, which requires additional time. While no new release date has been officially confirmed, inside sources suggest that the team is aiming for a December release.

If the film misses the December window, a January release is unlikely, given the crowded Sankranthi season with biggies like The Raja Saab, MSVG, and JanaNayagan lined up. For now, fans can expect Akhanda 2 to roar into theatres by December.
