“Flow” receives “Golden Globe”
Flow reflects themes of evolution, unity, and shared survival, continuing the filmmaker Zilbalodis exploration of these ideas. The film begins and ends with the animals gazing at their reflection in the water, symbolizing how their differences merge as they face the challenges of a natural disaster.
Flow tells a story of breaking free from the power structures that divide society. In the face of a massive flood, a group of animals comes together and forms an alliance, finding a new balance in their transformed, water-filled world. As they navigate through the ruins of lost civilizations, the film focuses on an energetic dog, a greedy lemur, a proud secretary bird, a clever capybara, and a thoughtful black cat. Together, they embark on an unusual journey of survival and discovery.
